Steering wheel restoration - Lenkrad Restaurierung

The steering wheels are often cracked and worn out at the center, which is a serious safety hazard and can result in bad accidents! The original steering wheels were made by the Quillery Company in Paris, which made steering wheels for a lot of french cars. To make a long story short: Everything can be restored and repaired. Steering wheels are hard to find and if you find one, mostely a car comes with it.

Now, we show the repairing of the center hole by installing an adapter piece. These adapters are made individually, because every steering wheel's cone is a little different.

The adapter piece is cast in stainless steel which is fixed to the original center: Sitting on a step in the original part and with four excentric ears to keep from turning. After instaling it is fixed by the nut that holds the steering wheel on the column.
