The Facel II chassis #HK2B116 is my "dream car" and I was lucky to purchase it on June 17, 1994, in San Diego, California.  The seller advised the original owner was Anthony Quinn, the late actor, which I have not been able to verify.  A Chrysler 383 1-carb engine, 3-speed cast iron Torqueflite, power steering, 1-circuit power vacuum brakes, Borrani wire wheels, Mark IV air conditioning, Facel Blue metallic paint, and gray leather interior were original equipment.  The car was a daily driver from 1994 to 2000, reliably taking me to work with a 30-mile round trip each day.  It was then retired from daily service and is now used for occasional pleasure drives.  Updates include an authentic 2-carb setup taken from another Facel II, a 3-speed aluminum Torqueflite with a Park gear, 2-circuit power brakes with stainless sleeved calipers, conversion to Facel manual steering with heavy duty spindle steering arms to promote safety, Facel European headlamps, Facel reclining front seats, AM/FM/CD player, and modern 3-pass radiator for cool running in traffic.  I painted the car "fire engine red" myself and the interior has also been changed to red.  Since this picture was taken, the wire wheels have been professionally restored with stainless steel spokes and new knock-off spinners have been fitted.  I'm looking forward to many more years of driving the car to Facel club events and promoting the enjoyment of Facel automobiles.
